 Overview of the Photo Tour

A visually enchanting melange of tradition & nature, the appeal of Bali is like no other. Called one of the best islands in the world for a reason, this tiny island of just over 5600 square kilometres packs quite a punch. Bali has something for every kind of traveller and photographer. Pristine beaches, verdant rice-paddies, enchanting volcanic peaks and a culture like no other, Indonesia’s most famous island is a revelation.

Join us on our tour to Bali, where we’ll introduce you to a little bit of everything in Bali – it’s food, culture, art & nature!

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 (May 13): Arrive at Bali airport and transfer to the hotel for check-in. Today will be a day for introductions & relaxation. We’ll visit a beach for sunset, walk around the busy market area for street photography and try some local cuisine.

Day 2 (May 14): We start the day by shooting sunrise at the beach. If we are lucky, we might come across seaweed farmers or fishermen going about their livelihood or witness the Balinese prayer and offering ceremony at the beach. Post breakfast, we’ll visit a waterfall to take a conceptual photoshoot of children playing in water. This evening we will visit the famous cliff-top Tanah Lot Temple at Sunset, followed by a visit to the local night market with hundreds of food sellers and riot of colors.

Day 3 (May 15): We start the day very early as we climb up to Mt Batur for sunrise over Lake Batur and nearby villages. We’ll rest in the afternoon or walk around the village. In the evening we’ve organised for a private performance by Pencak Silat (an Indonesian martial art) practitioners. We’ll photograph them in their traditional costumes among the rice field or in a bamboo hall. We’ll end the day with dinner & private Balinese dance performance (Legong) accompanied by a gamelan music group, with an opportunity to shoot

Day 4 (May 16): We’ll start the day early to capture the sunrise on Lake Bedugul and visit the beautiful Ulundanu lakeside temple, a famous fruits and vegetables market. Our highlight of the day will be a visit to the beautiful Jatiluwih Rice Terraces, a UNESCO world heritage site.

Day 5 (May 17): We take the boat to the island of Nusa Penida, known for it’s beautiful beaches & cliffs. We’ll walk around the island today practicing long exposure photography on some beautiful beaches with interesting rock formations.

Day 6 (May 18): We’ll photograph the sunrise visit on Pasih Uwug beach & a natural infinity pool. We’ll take a private boat to the island of Nusa Ceningan to shoot their very own Blue Lagoon and some beautiful beaches. We’ll spend the evening reviewing images from your tour so far.

Day 7 (May 19): The last day is free for shopping and review session.
