Iceland is a country of extreme contrasts. Widely known as “The Land of Fire and Ice”, Iceland is home to some of the largest glaciers in Europe, and some of the world’s most active volcanoes.
Iceland is also the land of light and darkness. Long summer days with near 24-hours of sunshine are offset by short winter days with only few hours of daylight.
Iceland in the early fall is a very special time. The Moss and grasses are vibrant green, the days are fairly normal in length & darkness at night started to come in & we start to have the chance for Aurora Borealis. Iceland is known for its beautiful Waterfalls, Jagged mountain peaks, infinite Ocean, Glaciers, Icebergs of all sizes, beautiful Churches, Ancient ruins & more. It’s a paradise for photographers imagine photographing all these locations during golden light, with dancing Northern Lights during the nights. It’s so satisfying all your worries melt away as you escape to capture the exquisite beauty before you at every turn.
This trip will be with a small group, we’re limiting the workshop to only Five participants. This means there will be plenty of time with Jassi as they guide you around some of the most photogenic places on the Earth. In this trip we are going to cover full Iceland, we’ll photograph places like the Glacier Lagoon, Ice Beach, various waterfalls, Churches & the stunning black sand beaches of Vik.

This 11 days journey will be a mad photographic journey.
This is pure Exploring trip even though we have pre set destination we will be exploring more, rather than stick to those places so be warned if you are those kind who wants to stay in hotel & only wanna shoot sunrise & sunset this trip is not for you guys 🙂
Pre Tour Analysis:
Each registered participant will be requested to submit their landscape / portrait related images. Our panel will analyse each image to see how to guide each individual during the tour to help them enhance their skills. We will also provide individual feedback to their each submitted image and suggest improvement points.
During the Tour:
Based on the analytical data available with us post “Pre Tour Analysis” we will provide individualized attention to all and ensure they work on their weaknesses and enhance their skills. Evening Gup Shup sessions will be learning oriented and practical tips will be provided based on the mistakes committed by participants during the day.
We shall also have atleast one evening session dedicated to post processing workflow to help them become a complete photographer.
After the tour:
Each participant will be required to submit 3 of his or her best images from the tour. Each image will be analysed and constructive feedback will be provided. Best of the lot will make it to our website and blog; and will be aggressively promoted on FB.
DAY 01 (Sept 21) Arrive at Reykjavik: Proceed with Immigration/Baggage Claim procedures. Private transfer directly from airport to Reykjavik. Check into the hotel and get out to explore the city.
Day 02 (Sept 22) Reykjanesta – Gullfoss – Burafoss.
Sunrise at Reykjanesta – 1 of the nearby attraction After finishing shoot will explore few areas nearby to shoot Bruarfoss.
Sunset at Gullfoss – It is one of the biggest Waterfall…
DAY 03 (Sept 23) We will Checkout from the Hotel and head South
Sunrise at Skogafoss – Skogafoss is an iconic waterfall in Iceland and The Biggest waterfall in Iceland. Then we head for The City of Vik and Check in at the Hotel and Explore the City and will relax.
Sunset at Seljalandsfoss and Glujfrafoss – Seljandsfoss: One of the most romantic Waterfalls where u can go behind the waterfall and Take Epic Sunset Image.
Glufrafoss: Another waterfall located next to Seljalandsfoss, its also a must Visit place in Iceland. Again If we are Lucky to find clear sky we can shoot Northern Light.
DAY 04 (Sept 24) Black Beach We do sunrise on the move and will explore Solheimasandur Plane Wreck site. Sunset will be at the Reynisdrangar. Its is also called the Black sand beach…..The sand is completely black with high tidal wave of the beach make this beach one of the most Beautiful beach in Southern Iceland
DAY 05 (Sept 25) Fjadrargljufur – Svartifoss
Sunrise: We explore this beautiful canyon Sunset: Svartifoss is another hidden Gem. Northern Lights hunt in the evening.
DAY 06 (Sept 26) Mossy Lava rock & Glacier Lagoon Mossy Lava Rock are one of the best Location for sunrise in Southern Iceland… We will check out from the Hotel and will move for Hofn district on the way we will shoot few Amazing Landscapes and seascape.
Sunset: Glacier Lagoon aka Ice Beach It is One of the most Photographed Location in Iceland… A must have in Portfolio…Creativity will be key to create a Perfect and Unique Image… If weather conditions are on our side we will stay late for some Astro shoot or Some Northern Light Shoot.
DAY 07 (Sept 27) Stokksnes & Hofn
Sunrise: Stokksnes This is Location is also Know as The majestic Peaks of Mt.Vestrahorn.
Sunset Hofn District We Will explore The Beautiful district Of hofn for the Sunset.
DAY 8 (Sept 28) Egilsstaðir – The Arctic Henge
This modern monument to pagan belief looks like it was transported straight from ancient times.
DAY 9 (Sept 29) Dettifoss – Godafoss
Sunrise: Detifoss This is Location is also reputed to be the most powerful waterfall in Europe.
Sunset: Godafoss Also known as Gods waterfall.
DAY 10 (Sept 30) Kirkjufell – Búðakirkja Sunrise: Sunset: Kirkjufell The most photographed Location. During the day we visit Búðakirkja which is Iceland’s oldest church.
DAY 11 (Oct 1) Kirkjufell – Búðakirkja We explore places around Kirkjufell and even continue to explore the iconic mountain in different lighting conditions.
EXTENSION to NORWAY
DAY 1 (Oct 2) Vik – Reykjavik – Svolvaer (Lofoten, Norway) Early morning check out and take the flight to Norway for our Extension Tour. People not opting for this fly back home with fond memories of Iceland.
We check-in hotel/famous cottages. spend rest of the day relaxing or exploring Fjord n Svolvaer city. If we are lucky we can even capture the dance of green at night.
DAY 2-3 (Oct 3 & 4) Svolvaer – Reine Sunrise at the Svolvaer famous Fjord. Checkout after breakfast and explore the Lofoten Island. Then we will head towards the most famous and most photographed location in the world – Reine. Its also the World’s most beautiful island according to National Geographic. And we will check in one of the most popular destinations in Lofoten – “The Eliasson Rorbuer”
We will explore Reine, Hamnoy, Ramberg, Fredvang for next 2 days.
DAY 4 (Oct 5) Reine – Lekness The Sunrise will be at waterfall, then we head to Lekness district. We will check in at Fisherman’s Cottages.
Explore the Vestavagoy island of Lofoten. We will also shoot at Uttakliev Beach, Vik beach and Haukland Beach (for Sunset)
DAY 5 (Oct 6) Lekness – Ytterstad Sunrise will be near a small village of Bostad in Vestvagoya. Then we explore the beautiful Ytterstad.
DAY 6 (Oct 7) Check out and leave for Evenes Airport for our journey back home after the scintillating experience.
